A Bit About Me
I admit to being a lifelong word nerd (that's me channeling my inner Shakespeare). Writing original pieces, helping shape texts by others and mastering/translating German is a blast. But it's also a passion I take seriously, driven by my work ethic and a splash of perfectionism.
My professional experiences over 15 years have been varied and demanding, contributing to my ability to learn and adapt quickly to the specific needs of any project. My experience ranges from foreign correspondent in Germany to New York-based reporter for a leading business publication, to creating the content for a prestigious art/science book's website, to producing content for a parenting blog and writing policy documents on open access publishing. I work well independently or with a team.
After growing up near New York and studying Germanistik and Anglistik at illustrious Mount Holyoke College in the U.S. as well as in Potsdam (near Berlin), I spent six years in Germany. Now in Switzerland for well over a decade, I'm fluent in German in addition to my native English.
I've lived in fast-paced New York, Berlin, and Frankfurt as well as bucolic western Massachusetts and Switzerland, and travelled whenever possible to all kinds of places in between.
